What is sago?

Sago is a food item. It is white and round like small pearls. It is made from the sap extracted from the stem of a tree called sago palm. When cooked it becomes slightly transparent and soft. In India, it is used to make sago kheer and khichdi.

Sabudana Vada Recipe | How to Make Sabudana Vada Recipe

Material:

  • two and a half bowl sago
  • quarter cup peanut butter
  • 5-6 medium sized potatoes
  • 4-5 green chillies
  • Coriander as required
  • Cumin
  • salt to taste

How to make Sabudana Vada:

  • Wash the sago and soak it in some water overnight or 2 hours before.
  • Peel the potatoes and peel them.
  • Put all the above ingredients in a plate and mix well.
  • – After kneading, make small rotis.
  • – Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the bread in it.
  • Serve hot Sabudana Bade with coriander chutney or sweet curd.

Notes:

  • To make good Sabudana Vada, mix the mixture well so that the vada does not break in the oil.
  • Vadas should be fried on medium flame only so that they get cooked properly from inside and do not burn.
