Momos is a traditional and delicious snack recipe from Nepal. It is usually made from finely chopped fresh vegetables, alternatively, you can also add meat to it. But in India there is a different way of making momos, grated cheese and vegetables are added to it and then it is called Paneer Momos or Paneer Momos. Some special tips for making Paneer Momos
First of all, in this recipe I have used flour to make the skin of momos. But some people do not find white flour very healthy, so you can also use wheat flour.
Use only soft and fresh paneer for this recipe. You can grate it easily, which gives a soft and juicy taste when eaten. You can either steam these momos or deep fry them until they become crispy. I like steamed momos, but everyone has their own preference.

It takes 10 minutes to prepare the ingredients for Paneer Momos recipe. After making it, it takes a total of 40 minutes whereas the recipe takes 30 minutes to prepare. If prepared with the method given below, this dish is sufficient for 2-3 members.
Paneer Momos Recipe | How to Make Paneer Momos Recipe
Material:
To knead the dough:
- 1½ cups flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 teaspoon oil
- water, for kneading
For stuffing:
- 3 spoons oil
- 3 finely chopped garlic
- 1 inch ginger, finely chopped
- 1 chilli, finely chopped
- Add 4 tbsp green onion, chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup cabbage, finely chopped
- 2 teaspoons capsicum, finely chopped
- 1 cup cheese, grated
- 1 teaspoon black pepper, crushed
- ½ tsp salt

How to make Paneer Momos:
- Preparation of Momos Batter:
- First of all, take 1.5 cup flour and ½ teaspoon salt in a large bowl.
- Add 1.5 cups of water and knead it.
- Add water as required and knead a soft and smooth dough.
- Now pour one spoon oil on it and keep it aside for 20 minutes.
Preparation of Paneer Momos Stuffing:
- Till then prepare the saran. For this, heat 3 tablespoons oil in a pan, add 3 garlic cloves, 1 inch ginger and 1 chilli and fry them lightly.
- Add 2 spoons of green onion leaves in it and cook well.
- – After this add an onion in it and cook till the onion becomes a little soft.
- – Now add 1 cup cabbage and 2 teaspoons capsicum.
- Continue cooking until the cabbage starts getting slightly cooked.
- Now add 1 cup cheese, 1 teaspoon black pepper, ½ teaspoon salt and cook well.
- Keep stirring until all the spices are mixed with the cheese. Don’t mash it.
- Then add 2 spoons of green onion leaves and mix well. – Now let this saran cool down completely.
Shaping the Paneer Momos:
- – First of all, knead the flour slightly and make small balls out of it.
- Apply some dry flour on the dough and roll it thinly.
- – After this, place a small round bowl on top of it and cut it into a round shape.
- – Now place one spoon of prepared stuffing in the middle.
- – Now start folding its edges from one side.
- In this way, fold till ¾ part of the circle.
- – Now close the folded part by sticking it well with the other part.
- Heat the steamer and place the momos on the tray slightly apart from each other.
- – After this, steam the momos for 12-15 minutes or until they look shiny.
- Paneer momos are ready, now enjoy momos with momos chutney.
