A hot favorite breakfast to eat in monsoon, there is nothing better than hot tea with freshly made hot bread pakodas. These pakodas can be prepared with or without stuffing, today I am posting a simple version. There is something divine in wrapping pieces of bread and frying them in hot oil.

Bread Pakora Preparation Time

It takes 5 minutes to prepare the ingredients of Bread Pakora. It takes total time of 20 minutes. When prepared with the method given below, this dish is sufficient for 4-5 members.

Bread Pakoda Recipe | How to Make Bread Pakoda Recipe

Material:

  • 6-8 slices of bread (cut into triangles)
  • 1 cup gram flour/chickpea flour
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp green chilli (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander (finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon egg
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • oil for frying)

How to make bread pakodas:

  • Mix all the ingredients except bread crumbs in a bowl.
  • – Add water and knead the dough.
  • The batter should be thin enough to coat the back of a spoon.
  • Heat oil for frying.
  • – When the oil is hot, keep the gas on medium flame.
  • – Dip the bread pieces in the batter and put them in hot oil.
  • Fry until golden brown on both sides.
  • Take it out on a tissue lined plate.
  • Serve hot with coriander chutney.
  • While frying pakodas, do not overcrowd the pan.

  • The consistency of the batter is very important to make a good bread pakora. It should not be too thick or too thin.
